NATHAN BROCKETT

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

My name is Nathan Brockett. I am a person in long-term recovery from substance use disorder. I am also a veteran of the United States Air Force. I have had the honor of serving as a Peer Support Specialist for Turning Point since April 2021. This has given me the opportunity to help people that struggle with substance use disorder, whether it be through referrals to treatment or a connection to the many resources we have throughout our community, or perhaps just simply being there for someone. I love the life that I get to live today, and my purpose is to help people feel the same way about their lives.

MICHELLE FONDAW

LEAD PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Hello, my name is Michelle Fondaw, and I am an Adult Peer Support Specialist at Turning Point RCC. I am a person in long term recovery from substance use disorder. I have worked for Four Rivers Behavioral Health since 2019. I love working in the recovery field and being able to help others achieve sobriety, and learn to navigate life without using drugs and alcohol. Having lived-experience myself helps me seem more relatable to our clients and see things from their perspective. Just knowing someone has been exactly where you are and has been able to overcome it gives them hope and that is exactly what I am trying to do is spread hope and encourage others along the way.

Amanda

Amanda Wiersma

ADULT PEER SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Hi, I’m Amanda Wiersma—born and raised in Paducah, KY, and deeply rooted in recovery. I’m proud to serve as an Adult Peer Support Specialist at Turning Point Recovery Community Center, where I’ve been helping others on their recovery journeys since 2021. As a person in long-term recovery myself, my own experiences with addiction and healing fuel my passion for guiding others toward hope and transformation.
When I’m not at work or immersed in my studies (I’m currently pursuing a career as a drug and alcohol counselor), I’m spending time with my greatest joys: my four amazing kids, two sweet granddaughters, and our gentle giant—a Great Dane who’s convinced she’s a lap dog.
I don’t have extravagant hobbies, but I wouldn’t trade my life for anything. Whether I’m chasing toddlers, cooking up family meals, or walking the dog while mentally drafting school papers, I’m living the life recovery gave back to me. Recovery has allowed me to be a mom, a grandma, and a helper again—and I cherish every moment of it.

HADLEY PINNER

ADULT PEERS SUPPORT SPECIALIST

My name is Hadley Pinner. I moved to Paducah, KY in 2023 from Memphis TN. I have been in recovery since February 2022. I am a person in long-term recovery from substance use disorder, and my journey has shaped every part of who I am today—resilient, compassionate, and driven by purpose. After facing the depths of addiction, I chose recovery, rebuilt my life, and now use my experience to support others and break the stigma surrounding mental health and addiction. Whether through advocacy, peer support, or simply leading by example, I believe recovery is not just possible—it’s powerful. Today, I stand in my truth: not as someone defined by their past, but as someone transformed by it. I’ve learned that healing is messy and strength is quiet—but every day I choose recovery is a victory. I speak openly now because I believe our stories can save lives. Recovery is possible. I’m living proof.
